To all Angus enthusiats if I can not get you to believe that Gelbvieh is better beef then I will simply out class you. For back in August the Gelbvieh association unvieled there new DNA registering system. So now there will be no confusion when your heifer calves and it falls in the date that the sire could be the A.I. sire or it could be the clean up bull you will simply have to call up the associationa and get your free DNA kit. They send it to you and all you have to do is take a hair sample and a small blood sample send it back and they tell you who the sire is. Now I have not done much investigation into how the other breed association are comeing along with there DNA, but I do know that Gelbvieh is on the cutting edge. So Angus people you can't keep up with the Gelbvieh technology so next time when you don't know who the sire is to your calf just give it your best guess.
