ReplyDeleteEddie's dad always asked him when Eddie said what he wanted to do in life, "Is this not good enough for you." Eddie hated the work his dad wanted him to do. When Eddie's dad died he had to work at Ruby Pier to keep an eye on his mom. Then it was good enough for him.
ReplyDeleteFive people you meet in heaven is an ironic book because most stories and novels today do not deal with life after death. It is a touchy subject with most people. It's also ironic that Mitch Albom is a sports writer that also can write fiction. In the story it's ironic that Eddie the old man is growing older in a place that smells like cotton candy because you usually associate cotton candy and an amusement park with young people.
ReplyDeleteits ironic becouse of teh fact that we are told that once we go to heaven we will never be bothered by earthly problems again
